Founded by Rei Kawakubo, this Paris-based brand was established in 1973 in Tokyo, Japan. “Comme Des Garçons,” translates to “like boys,” and is based on Francoise Hardy’s song, “Tous Le Garcons et les Filles.” CDG has since expanded their clothing lines, creating iconic collections from Rei Kawakubo, Junya Watanabe, Tao Kurihara, and more.
