About LIKELIHOOD

LIKELIHOOD opened in 2015 as a platform for community. LIKELIHOOD was one of the first sneaker stores in the country to harness the enthusiasm for sneakers to collect backpacks and socks for the homeless and to hold community events with sneaker drops. In our over 10 year history, LIKELIHOOD has held over 100 community events raising tens of thousands for local organizations.
LIKELIHOOD was founded by Aaron DelGuzzo, who was a former NIke sales executive for over 10 years. Aaron was national salesman of the year in 1994 and helped start the Nike Sportwear brand that is so beloved today. He also credited with connecting Nike to such great retails as Barney's NY, KITH and many others.
As such, LIKELIHOOD started as a men's footwear store and has since evolved into a footwear and fashion apparel store. The assortment is built by Aaron's sensibilities and taste rooted in three core principles - quality product, taste, and originality - towards what Aaron calls a "yummy" mix of brands and styles.
Most recently LIKELIHOOD is centered on the idea of "Hello Gorgeous," a standard of delivery for customers. Hello Gorgeous is a signature phrase of Aaron's that is now our rallying cry and business North Star.

The Lint Roller Mindset
What does it mean when a lint brush becomes your symbol of excellence? When every aspect of delivering exceptional customer service and striving to become a high-caliber retail experience is about the simple act of using a lint brush to clean the soles of shoes? This is LIKELIHOOD in a nutshell. No matter the day, the time, the event, the problem, we are constantly asking ourselves and each other, “how can we attend to the details, and how can we keep making it better so that every customer, every interaction is special? This is our mantra: “Make it Special.”
Instead of a quest to be the biggest retailer, with the most brands and the most stores, for us it’s about keeping it small, personal, down to a smile, a “welcome.” The so-called “details of retail” that we hone, perfect, are the ingredients that create the craft, artistry, the elegance and the joy of the experience in the store, in a delivery box, and in every interaction. Truth is, though, when you get to know us as people, making it special is not only what we care about, but deep down, we couldn’t imagine creating a retail store in any other way.
