Western Hydrodynamic Research
Founded by Pat Towersey, WHR is inspired by surf culture and our relationship with the land around us. ‘WHR,’ originally was not an acronym for anything in particular. After a conversation with American filmmaker Craig R. Stecyk III, Stecyk came up with the name ‘Western Hydrodynamic Research,’ as a joke—and the rest is history.
