Maison Margiela

Founded in 1988 by Belgian designer Martin Margiela, Maison Margiela has grown to be a  renowned couture fashion house. The fashion house quickly gained recognition for its distinct designs, deconstructive aesthetic and unconventional utilization of materials. Despite a change of creative directors in 2014, the house continues to develop on founding designer Martin Margiela’s vision of couture. Driven by a unique design philosophy, Maison Margiela frequently bends the boundaries of fashion introducing iconic designs such as the Tabi shoes. With each season, Maison Margiela continues to demonstrate its core ideology: fashion is an artistic expression rather than a cult for personality.
