We're Obsessed with Sandy Liang’s Salomons (and You Should Be Too)

Think of something childlike - like a mystical fairy wonderland, or a set of Pollypocket dolls - add a pinch of 90’s grunge, a touch of outdoor functionality, and your result is Sandy Liang.
Her eponymous and eclectic brand is characterized by puffer coats & fleeces with fur lining and vibrantly patterned accents, as well as ballet flats with a modern twist.
Sandy Liang has a special way of mixing youthful sensibilities with gothic style. Liang herself has noted that fashion can be dramatized and over-complicated. At the end of the day, she wants her brand to feel fun! The brand includes classic feminine cuts with a twist. Hair accessories with large satin roses, croquette-style cardigans, and blouses decorated with bows exude her commitment to this sort of playfulness.
The Salomon XT-6 and the RX Moc 3.0 feature Pokemon inspired color palettes, evoking a whimsical feeling. The XT-6 features shades of pink and forest green accents, while the RX Moc 3.0 dawns an oatmeal colored mesh upper. The pull tab, which lines the top of the shoe, is given a round edge and floral detail.
While these may be the first Salomons that are encouraged to be styled with skirts, bows and floral patterns, they certainly will not be the last. Liang is a trailblazer and pioneer, and others will soon follow.
The Sandy Liang x Salomon XT-6 Expanse and RX Moc 3.0 will release on May 5th. Women’s sizes 5-11. $190.00 & $110.00 plus tax.
